He's getting a cell phone for his job well done, although he'll have to pay the monthly add on fee of $10.

And to think my sceptics said he'd have a hard time adjusting from home school to public.

Do you reward your kids for good grades or do you think you will? If so how?

Air Mail Rocks!

I received this from my cousin living in the Alaskan bush.
I think this is what her family will be eating all winter...
2 jars Hickory Smoked Salmon
1 jar Yellow Salmonberry Orange Ginger Marmalade
1 jar Sweet and Hot Jalapeno Jelly
Beach finds:
1 lava rock (from Mt Frosty?)
1 Bering Straight oyster
1 piece of sea glass, a bottle top (front left)
4 small rocks with some sort of lychen?
Misc.
Please clearify this - a small salt and pepper envelope?

Halloween 2008

Heather is having a little Halloween sharing at her place. Go check it out. I'm sure you'll more ideas over there than here.

Every year we pull a trailer full of kids and their parents through a very large housing development. 2 hours, 2 streets and lots of cansy. This year 2 houses gave out full-size candy bars.

I did not dress up this year, Vaughan was a scary jester and Justin was a Joker minion and then took the mask off and was himself.
Here's the stash. Growing up rural you have no idea how much this excites Steve and I!!
The kids were pretty uncooperative this year so pictures we few- teenagers!?? He's part of the group. We had 2 Jokers, a witch, and old man, a jester, something black and capey, Michael Myers who transformed into Tom Cruise when the mask got hot, a skeleton, someone wore an afro.
Here's a partial trailer picture.
This guy took the costume cake. Full beard and with his daughter as the Wicked Witch of the West, he was Dorothy, red glittery shoes and all; and I'm pretty sure he was drinking something a little "special".
So after 2 hours of candy gettin' fun, we headed to Chick-fil-A where everyone in a costume got a free shake!
Good times.
Michelle
