Peace and a White Horse
This life with teenagers, with pain, with death, with suicide.
He is here.
He has a plan.
One day it'll all make sense.
One day the pain will be gone forever.
The crying will leave to never be heard or felt again.
When Jesus comes the isolation, rejection, disappointments will evaporate.
Because of that I have peace.
Peace when my baby's eyes cry dry tears, when the pain of his heart is seen in his face and felt in my heart.
Peace when my son's low shoulders carry a responsibility for a man twice his age. Peace when I lay alone; for I know this is temporary, fleeting, like a flower in the field, blown away. One day we'll all be gone and our place will remember us no more; but may it, may they, remember Jesus.
May we leave behind the footprints of Christ; after all it is He who has carried us, me. Sometimes, many times, I walk on my own. I hobble, I limp, I leave behind not so great treads. I leave behind a mess that doesn't reflect Christ at all. Oh it is then that I am reminded that the LORD is on the throne, I am covered by grace,
saved by grace.
I am saved not because of any great work I've done but because Jesus first loved me, God loved me. And for that I press on.
Day by day, minute by minute, second by second until that glorious day when my Saviour rides in to bring me home.
Amen and hallelujah!
Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid. John 14:27

I saw heaven standing open and there before me was a white horse, whose rider is called Faithful and True. With justice he judges and wages war. Revelation 19:11

Organized Pantry
So when I bought triples of some pantry items I figured it was time to clean and organize the pantry.
So here is my Takle it Tuesday post.
BEFORE:
AFTER:
I scanned the pantry and the house for any container to hold like items, baskets, rubbermaid items with missing lids to name a few. Then I labeled each container and viola! an organized pantry.
More Tackle it Tuesday posts here.

Happy 2011- That Types Up Weird
*updated at bottom
I will be back- I promise!
Happy New Year to all,
I've just been spending less and less time around the computer, I wish that meant I was spending more and more time organizing and cleaning my house- but it doesn't.
Actually I'm not sure what I've been doing??
So perhaps I will go over all I've been up to.
I have watched a few movies and television shows on netflix, had an "inner-fit" that had my mind fighting against itself, luckily I won;
I attended an anniversary dinner and a candlelight memorial service for a friend of Justin's who died last Thursday.
We threw our annual New Year's Party, I took a long walk on the beach and held Illana not nearly as much as I wanted to.
I've also fooled around with a new look for this here blog.
So I guess I've been busy.
I've also been thinking, I know, scary; but I've been mulling over lots these last few days...
about dead fish,
one legged birds,
being obedient,
loving my husband,
living in an open field,
my household responsibilities,
managing my home,
studying the Bible,
serving the youth,
why people choose suicide
and most recently I've been thinking about where on my bosy I can wax next.
Yes, for Christmas I got a professional waxing system and let me tell you the pain of waxing your upper lip has nothing on waxing your own inner thigh.
Nuff said.
Good night.
So I got around to a new blog look, what do you think?
I still have some linking and tweaking to do so be patient, drop me some feedback- good and bad- and stop back by.
